DR. SNYDER'S MESSAGE TO YOU
My name is Jim Snyder. In addition to doing routine dentistry for patients with routine needs, I specialize in sedation dentistry with a full range of anesthesia options for people who want or need fully guaranteed prevention of pain and anxiety related to dental work. This includes people who:
- have had previous bad experiences leading them to be very anxious about dental work
- have especially painful or sensitive teeth
- have neglected their dental care for a long time and have accumulated many problems
- have difficulty sitting still for dental work due to physical pain or disabilities
- have difficulty cooperating due to mental retardation, Alzheimer's Disease or other problems
- have underlying chronic illness requiring special management during dental treatment
- just want to be calm and comfortable
I was trained in anesthesia in the residency program at George Washington University Hospital. My training included providing anesthesia for many procedures i ncluding open heart and brain surgeries.
In over 30 years of practice, I have safely administered thousands of anesthetics to both children and adults employing a range of drugs selected specifically for each patient and his or her situation. I sought my special training and accumulated all this experience because providing pain and anxiety-free dentistry is my interest and my passion. My professional career has been dedicated to competent, sophisticated dental care. I hated going to the dentist when I was a kid and I wanted to create a different experience for others.
