The Office
The office of the Center for Dental Anesthesiology, the practice of Dr. James Snyder and his associates Dr. Dennis Ahl, Dr. Seema Ahmed, and Dr. Nadgie Ortiz-Diaz, has a casual and comfortable atmosphere. The waiting room is comfortable - and small - because we don't make you wait. The treatment areas are furnished with modern state-of-the-art dental and medical emergency equipment. Because we provide sedation dentistry and full anesthesia services, we also have the most modern anesthesia administration and monitoring devices.
The office includes:The Operating Rooms
In the operating rooms you will find the same modern anesthesia administration and monitoring devices found in the best equipped operating room at a surgicenter. Of course, we monitor all the American Society of Anesthesiologist's mandated parameters. These include:
Additionally, we do Bispectral Analysis (BIS) monitoring. We are one of the first dentistry sites in the country to routinely use this brain wave monitor that measures the exact level of unconsciousness. This ensures the patient is adequately anesthetized to be completely unaware throughout the procedure when general anesthesia is used.
All vital systems have backup systems. Most have backups for the backups.
The operating rooms are spacious to allow for circulation of the number of professional staff members needed to provide the very best care.
Special Happenings at Our Site
From time to time, our facility has been a development site for a number of anesthesia drugs, techniques and monitors. We host visitors from the anesthesia ‘industry' and dental professionals from around the world. Of course, a patient's opportunity to participate in any of these endeavors is entirely voluntary and no patient is ever involved in any way without explicit approval and informed consent.
