Dr. Seema Ahmed

Dr. Seema Ahmed is an ambitious and personable general dentist, who recently relocated to the Washington, DC area. Dr. Ahmed earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, where she was a Cognitive Neuroscience major with a minor in Spanish Language and Culture. She graduated with honors, and was given the prestigious commencement distinction of Phi Beta Kappa. Dr. Ahmed went on to earn her dental degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, the first dental school in the world, where she developed a keen interest in implant dentistry.
After earning her D.D.S., she completed a post-doctoral training in a rigorous, two-year general practice residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, where she was selected as Chief Resident during her second year. In addition to Dr. Ahmed's extensive experience in implant dentistry, she also loves practicing general dentistry, and is invisalign certified. She stays current on the newest techniques and principles in dentistry with hundreds of hours of clinical and didactic continuing education (CE) courses. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Osseointegration, and The Virginia Dental Association.
Dr. Ahmed prides herself in being very thorough in her work, from initial diagnosis to rendering treatment, as she believes every patient deserves to be treated with the utmost respect and compassion, as you would treat your family. Dr. Ahmed's extensive hospital training has made her a welcome addition to the Center for Dental Anesthesiology, where she is well-equipped to handle all your medically and dentally complex treatment needs. When she's not in the office, Dr. Ahmed loves cooking, baking, reading, and traveling.
